VT Prayer Packages started in 2026 as a labor of love by Ada Lyman, a parishioner at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Swanton, VT. Having found a deep appreciation for Anglican prayer beads, Ada began making beads and sharing them with other members of the congregation. As she continued making these beads, she starting thinking of ways to spread the joy it gave her and others beyond the walls of her little church.
After a lot of prayer and a conversation with Holy Trinity’s rector, VT Prayer Packages was born. They are perfect for all sorts of occasions: birthdays, graduations, life changes, and losses. What is the Anglican Rosary?
Anglican Rosaries or prayer beads are a devotional item used in prayer. They were developed in the mid-1980s by the members of an Episcopal congregation within the Diocese of Texas.
It consists of 33 beads, signifying the 33 years of Jesus’s earthly life, divided into three types.
One Invitatory bead.
Four cruciform beads.
And four groups of seven “week” beads.
